02 explorer sport hard starting

Hi I've got a stock 02 with 80k. The check engine light came on. Truck was beginning to take a bit longer to start. Replaced plugs and wires w/ Ford parts. Need to use the gas pedal to start engine. Ordered seafoam, Should I replace the fuel filter as well? Thanks

wouldnt hurt. is this all in the same gas tank? you might have gotten some bad gas

I don't have the print out but it wasn't conclusive. Thats why i replaced plugs and wires first. It also said possibly dirty injectors etc. I'll take it back down to autozone after I run the seafoam through it. Thoughts on aftermarket fuel filters or should I go with a motorcraft one?

i have the same problem with my 02 xls but i have a P0231 code any ideas on what i need to replace so it will start with no problems. Once i get it to start its fine until i let it sit for awhile
