02 Explorer VS. deer

So 3 weeks into own my explorer i hit a *beep*ing deer..... Here's the result

Only had it 3 weeks.....First deer i've ever hit in 8yrs of driving...

as a fire fighter i have seen way worse,
but am glad it wasn't too bad, and nobody got hurt at all,

trucks can be fixed remember,,

hope the repair goes well, and you get to enjoy it for years too come,,

Thanks guys. i paniced a bit at first cause i had my 6yr old and my baby in the truck. Everyone's good...6yr olds a bit shaken up cause she's never seen a deer get hit by a car much less being in the car hitting it and it didn't die on impact it struggled. I took the kids home and went back and was humane about it. All's well just really sucks right before christmas....

I hit a deer a couple weeks after getting my explorer too, scared the crap out of me but it surprisingly didn't do any damage...glad you and your family are ok though, and that there isn't too much damage.

I was driving on my own road literall 3/10 of a mile from my house right around like 33mph

Gonna say, little damage for hitting a deer! LOL! But still, all that from only 33mph. sux!

Good to hear that everyone is OK. Sucks that you've only had the Ex for 3 weeks. Just think of the bonding you and your Ex are going to do as you work on the repair.

Rondo it'll actually be the bonding my insurance company does with it and the repair shop. Somewhere along the way i lost my touch at body work...I used to be good at it..guess i swung more mechanical.

Lol thanks buddy. I'm sure i'll enjoy it. Come income tax time i should be able to get the 4x4 fixed....buy the new headlights and bullbar i want for it.

Hey boys & girls! Just keeping the thread up to date. Tomorrow morning at 10:30 i drop my truck off at the body shop and pick up my rental...Chevy Impala, Eh....Should be back within a week!

Picked up my rental car this morning...2012 Altima with only 7K on it... BWAHAHAHA

The Altima is one of my favorite cars out there right now... mainly because I fit in it (6' 8") LOL

I had an 09 Altima when my honda got destroyed by an idiot 3yrs ago...So when given the choice for an Altima or a Impala..I chose the obvious one. The slapstick trans and the gas mileage make it fun

Of course i'm only 6'2 but it's still challenging to find a comfy car to get in.

glad that everyone is ok. i have an 07 altima 2.5 s i got it at an auction with 23,419 miles on it for like 14k and now it has 45,535 miles on it.

i drive that and my 01 sport but i might be selling my 01 sport
