My Gf's Parents 02 explorer will not start. They called AAA and had a tow truck come out there and jump start but would not hold a charge. So I came over and looked at it and when you open the doors, the interior lights will not come on. When we put the key in the ignition and turned it to the on position, it started clicking and then clicking faster. Now i figured it was either a dead battery or a Fried Alt. Now the check engine light has been on and i was reading around about explorers and one guy had the same problem and another guy said that the engine may be frozen?? i really dont know much about fords and didnt want to assume that i could fix it and then it not work, so wanted to see if any of you knew. thanks

Frozen?

You can have your battery charged and see if it starts, then take it to a shop to get the charging system checked.
Could be a battery, alternator, corroded connection.
clicking means you don't have enough power to crank her over .
When you jump it again does it start?

Do you have a voltmeter? check your battery voltage and should be like 12.8 with truck off. if you get it jump started you should get a reading of 14volts running.
get that codes pulled too.
