Hey guys, i need your opinions here. I have an 03 with 45k miles. for almost a year i was experiencing a shake/hesitation/shudder feeling when i needed more power...couple with the fact that it was stalling, and then would start hard after stalling. I finally got around to taking it in the shop and they said cyl' 3,4,5 & 6 were all mis-firing. They Did water test on plug wires and all were arcing. So i replaced the wires. made a BIG difference, but i still had the slight hesitation when i needed the extra power. so i figured if the wires are that bad @ 45k miles, i might as well do the plugs..so i did the plugs..replaced with regular autolites. saw alittle improvement after i did those but i'm still getting the slight skip/hesitation.
I'm really lost here as to what could be causing this. I have no fluctuation in the rpm's / speedometer and if i keep it floored from a start it will work through the hesitation when it's shifting in the the higher gears. (sometimes, though, very few, it doesn't even do it)
I'm leaning away from tranny problem since it has gotten better since i replaced the plugs & wires.
Would a fuel filter do this?? slightly clogged injector??
I have NO check engine light on or anything.
Hopefully you have some ideas..... Thanks guys
