Lowered with tubs in the back. I think this car has some potential.

it looks like the 2003 police interceptor crown vics

it basically is, based on the crown vic, police interceptor taillights, brakes, and suspension.... just FYI

Those things are around 34k. They run low 15's but with some guys have put 4.10's in them and it's helped them get off the line a little quicker. They come with 3.73's i think stock or something very close to that. That car weighs a ton, so its no surprise thats its not a race car. Just a little more sporty than those old grandpa vics.

Yes, they are cool-looking sedans. I've seen a couple around. If you've read the latest MT or C&D, they are not that quick. I was disappointed with the results.

I fergot what magazine it was, but yes, I believe there is also a concept 2dr convertable marauder, which was suppose to have a supercharger... running the HP up to mid to higher 300s... I fergot what magazine it was tho
Pete

Edit:
P.S. Regarding the rims... I believe it's got an 8.8 rear end, and I think (could be wrong) all the 8.8's now are 5x4.5.. which would be alright for us, but, i bet the backspacing could be a problem...

I'm pretty sure that its 308 with 318 of ft lb tourqe. This car really does move, I would say that it would give the new Gt's a run for their money stock.

The convertible has been canned (a friend of mine was working on it for about a month before they cancelled the project). It is rumored that next year it will have the SC on it.

Auto Vs. Auto would be close -- depending on the driver, but the GT should still win. Here's the times for the Marauder in both C&D, and MT:

0-60 = 7.5 (C&D) 6.9 (MT)
1/4 mi = 15.5 (C&D) 15.4 (MT)

Times for Mustang GT:

Auto: 0-60 = 6.3
1/4 mi = 15.1
Manual: 0-60 = 5.5
1/4 mi. = 14.1

What's even more sad, is that a new V6 Altima and '03 Accord V6 (both in auto form - 240 HP) is quicker than the Marauder for $10K less money. I know these cars aren't in the same class, and the Marauder is much heavier, but I'm still disappointed.

I think my explorer would give that a run for its money. I haven't run mine yet but when I do I plan on getting right around 16.

15.5 is not very fast.

15.5 is pretty quick.. dont forget that every .1 seconds is a car length. Being beaten by 5 or 6 car lengths isnt a nice shot.

Its gearing sucks, put some 4.10s on there and a chip with intake and that car should do ~14.7

Supposedly the impala ss can whoop the marauder im not sure about that tho, but that sorta would suck if a new maradeur with 300 hp doesnt come close to a impala is

The pattern shouldn't be any different that the Crown Vic/Grand Marquis (sorry, not sure what that is).

Typical car salesman, has no idea what he's selling.
The Mercury has the 4.6 L engine naturally aspirated. The Mustang Cobra has the 4.6 w/supercharger and that doesn't make 400hp. I doubt very much the Merc makes over 305, at the flywheel.
I'd like to see a dyno test.

The car testers at both C&D and MT aren't very good at getting the best times out of hot cars. The Mustang GT tested by MM&FF went into the 13 sec bracket.

My 2cents: I'd take a GT over the Merc any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
