05' explorer down shifting hard from 2nd to 1st

i have an 05 explorer xlt 167,000 miles automatic, when driving and start to slow down when you hit 2nd to 1st the car shifts very hard and jerks. I just had transmission replaced 2weeks ago and I was told that he didn't think it was transmission related for me just to drive it but it seems to be getting worse. Any ideas would be great. Thanks.

It most certainly is transmission related! lol As soon as he said that I would have put a lawyer on retainer, lol.

Did they reset the computer and go though relearn after replacing the transmission?

I'm not sure he had little computer he brought out to the car, he said he was concerned with the up shift, not the down shift. He said he thought it was the transfer case.

Don't think it could be the transfer case, sounds like the transmission is shifting too hard for that shift.

The solenoid clutch pack does this.

Did he reuse yours?
