Well, to me that sounds a little bit high. I gave 500 for the whole tranny when i bought my rebuilt 5-speed, but that was from an individual who does this.

A t5 would probably be cheaper, but you'd have to adapt it over.

Happy trails!!

Depending on what has to be replaced the price can run that high or even higher.

My 94 with a remanufactord tranny, centerforce clutch, slave cylinder, new sensors, gaskets, & seals was $1700. That was with all the labor. Got the tranny from

http://www.phoenixhardparts.com

I now feel like i got screwed. I payed about 2500+ for a rebuilt al4d. I figure I could have gotten a better trans for that price

im all done this is what i paid

$85 for new slave
$1081.08 for rebuild (labor not included)
$35 dollars for new drain and fill plugs
$158 Borg warner clutch
$30 ground flywheel
$3 for new flywheel alignment pin
Damn thing runs great now though, now if i could just figure out how to getm ore gas milage out of it.

I go 158 miles on 11 gallons is this right? Thats kinda driving with the pedal down alot of the time. I changed my driving style but i didnt see any results.
