12" vs 15" (FI sub questions)

well, im looking to replace my 2 12' kappa perfects and im stuf on the new FI sub. I'm looking to blow the two out of the water

The 15 inch BL takes up a little too much room for my liking, but i know it will definatley be louder than my two kappas.

How much louder will the 15 inch really be than a 12 inch?

will the 12 inch give me a louder sound than my 2 12"s

Also, the 15 inch would be in a 2.8 cf^3 box, tuned to 34

and the 12 inch would be in a 2.0 cube box tuned to 34.

you have to keep in mind that the 2.8 cube box for the 15 doesnt include port volume, sub displacement or brace displacement. it will be closer to 4 cubes total.

considering you're running a sealed box right now for the kappas and are increasing the power too id say the single 12 would be noticeably louder. and the 15 noticeably louder than that. The 15 has a 36% cone advantage.

ive got someone to build the box for me, so thats no problem, i just want to really make sure that a single 12 ported will hit harder than dual 12's sealed, i dont want to be dissappointed, how much louder will a 15 inch be than a 12 inch?

there really arent any set in stone answers of how much one will be louder than the other. 15 will be louder though if your builder knows how to design and build well.
