trying to lift my explorer without adding shackles. i have a leaf spring under axle wondering how i would convert it so its a leaf over axle? saw a post on here but now i cant find it. and lifting the front with spring spacers.
thanks!

You can get a kit of parts for a spring-over-axle (or SOA) conversion.

That will give you 5-6" of lift in the rear, though. You'll need a lot more than spacers up front. There are plenty of TTB front lift kits to lift the front the same 5-6" to match.

The spacers lift the front an inch or two, so the only other alternatives to shackles in the rear are an add-a-leaf kit, or all-new leafs for a slight 2-3" lift.

Another consideration would be to use a SOA kit and get a spring pack from a Ranger or other light truck that is SOA from the factory, then mix and match the springs to get the lift you desire... but that's a lot more work than it's worth to most.
