Good afternoon.

The other day on the highway I discovered something new. My explorer is 5 gears, manual 1994

When on acceleration it reaches 1500-1800 rpm, I feel a vibration, a low frequencies one, if I press the clutch, the vibration disappears, it only occurs between 1500 and 2000 rpm in all gears.
What could it be?

The tires are new, aligned and balanced, as well as the 4 rims centered 2 month ago.

Would suspect motor and/or transmission mount/
Hi Childldenticant, thanks for your reply it makes sense.
uff that are good news, i know both mounts are tired, but more the transmission one.
I bought the spare parts 1 year ago, and I have them at home, I think it's time to make the change....

Also check your drivelines for worn u joints

Do you still have auto
Hubs? How does the clutch feel when not moving? Any noises or vibrations from the clutch?

It maybe time for a shake down test. This is where you look for looseness in the drivelines and suspension

Could be an engine misfire also, check spark plugs and wires. Had very same issue, was cracked ceramic on spark plug. Miss only occured between 1500-2000 rpms with load

Hello 410 and Turdle, thanks for your comments.
The spark plugs and wires were purchased a year ago.
The front end was checked and the ujoints changed in February of this year, so I would lean towards the mounts.
Anyway, i'm going to check them!

thanks!

Cheap wires won’t last a year

Same thing with cheapo greasable u joints

Don’t rule them out just because they are newer. When your a mechanic you learn real quick to look where you were working last
