so I was at the junkyard today (1/2 price day - scored 3 superchargers and 3 sets of 30lb injectors for $160  )

and when I got back to my truck in the parking lot, some ghetto mf'er had stolen the drivers side mirror glass!

I went back into the junkyard but unfortunately there were no drivers side mirrors on any of the trucks, I practiced taking off the passenger mirror glass on 3 trucks and broke 2/3 of them...

so I'd like to try to replace the mirror as a unit.

On ebay, Its hard to decide exactly what will fit.

I see this listing:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/POWE...ewItemQQcategoryZ33649QQitemZ8047422025QQrdZ1

Which says it fits 95-01, power, non-heated, no puddle light.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ford...ewItemQQcategoryZ33649QQitemZ8047645721QQrdZ1

Same with this one, but goes on to say it has a 'round 3 plug' connector.

Now if I have to replace my mirror, I figure I may as well get the heater/puddle light style and make it worth my time.

Will my truck have provisions for the heated/lighted mirror to hook up?

From the picture on that listing, it looks like it has roughly 8 wires (not 3 like the above listings without heat and puddle light).

If you decide not to don't go with the heated/puddle option, you should be able to get just the mirror piece from an auto store, and glue it in. Just a suggestion.

there is no glue involved, the mirror clips in in 4 places.

and there are 2 rubber insulation pieces on 2 of the clips (the ones that control the pivot of the mirror from the motors) and 1 of the rubber pieces is missing, I assume it went with the mirror :fire:

Ice broke the RH glass on mine last winter, and the glass store put a new one in for like $20

that would be a wonderful solution for me but the backing plate is missing from my mirror because the mirror was popped out of the housing...
