1996 Explorer with a 4.0L only runs on starting fluid.

I have a 1996 ford explorer, I shut the vehicle off and went to restart it 4 hours later and it would only crank, i shot starting fluid through the intake, and it starts fine but only runs on starting fluid, where do i start?

Id say prob start with checking fuel pressure.
