Thanks for moving it i'm obviously new to this i've been reading other threads for a month but finally decided to register and post because i could not find any info an my particular problem. I have actually completely disassembled and reassembled the center console trying to trace down the problem so i know that the blower is acually running and the blend door doesn't open but again this only happens when the front ac is turned off. I located a relay in the cener console but my haynes manual was no help in identifying what it goes to so i replaced it with a new one just on a hunch but it turned out that the relay i replaced it with was the wrong part number. The only thing that this changed was that the chime did not go off any more when shutting the ac off. Once i realized though about the part number mx up I replaced it with the proper one and went back to square one.

Ok ... I officially feel like an idiot... I have spent countless hours tracing and trying to troubleshoot this issue... Replaced the front and rear ac control switches, checked the resistor on the rear blower, changed relays, and after literally over 20 hours of head scratching, I just so happened to be looking in my owners manual to find out which fuse controls the over head message center ( the compass and temp) and it just so happens that it was the same fuse as the cruise control and the rear booster fan ( both of which didnt work) ... replaced it and all is good. DUHHH! (Just to try to redeem myself, i figured that since the blower worked but not properly ... surely i couldnt be the fuse because it still had power coming to it ... Right?) apparently not LOL
