1997 Explorer won't start after it is hot.

i have an 97 explorer and when i am driving it. i can get to where i am going and shut the truck off if i do not let it sit for around an hour or so it won't start. i can also be going down the road the truck will die down in rpm. any help would be greatly appreciated.

The no start when hot could be the coolant temp sensor. Does it attempt to crank at all when hot or briefly crank but not run?
 






if not the above check on the crank or cam sensor, maybe needing to be replaced
 






it will crank but will not run.
