1998 explorer blinker problem

So I've had my 98 explorer for about 2 years and it runs great haven't had a single issue mechanically. But, my right turn signal has a problem, when I engage it, it flashes but my brake lights flash with it, and when I press the brakes my blinker stops blinking. My left signal works fine, I did look for bad wiring to the turn signal stock but didn't really see anything. Don't really know what else to do, has anyone else had this issue? Any ideas?

Check for bad grounds at the tail lights. That's my best suggestion.

Try tilting the column extreme up and down and seeing if they work in either position.
