I re-threaded this as I think its an important issue for all 1999-2001 Ranger Owners to be aware of this incase you haven't or didn't know about this issue!!

After some brief research and Q&A I found that due to Ford manufacturers poor metal quality of frames the Rangers within these production years have run a risk significant rusting and/or rotting. Take a look at yours and attend to it as necessary so you don't end up like I did or like other owners did-

I'll try to get some photos up so you all can see what I am talking about....
I highly recommend an oil undercoating if you live up here in these northern states where they like to salt the snot out of the roads.... meanwhile, my truck is going to the metal shop in a few weeks, and my wallet is taking a $400 punch- but worth it I would say. I havent even hit 100k miles yet......
