1999 Eddie Baur Knocking near Left Wheel Pls Help

Noise came on suddenly, nocks every rotation under power and coasting. This is the AWD 302 not the 4 wheel drive. Isn't growling like bearings do and cv boots look good, could it be the cv axle anyway?
