Just about all of the Cobra wheels are 5 on 4.5. Since you are first gen. 4x4, you will have to have the center of the wheel machined out to run any of the car/sport truck based wheels.
Actually Boomin the Lightning won't fit because Ford in their infinate wisdom went to a metric pater... 5 on 135mm... Only truck with that bolt patern is the 97-03 F 150!!!
Even with the hub off I don't think it would work. If you look, there's still a piece that sticks out, plus you'd ruin your 4-wheel drive. Someone on this board is looking to swap a 2x4 system for a 4x4, maybe PM them?
ok well the truth is im lookin for a sport truck wheels like 18's or 19's...im not in to the bling bling...i do like the 18" corba wheels but i would have to machine a hole....does anyone know how much it cost to machine out the holes on the front wheels and will the wheels be strong enough and does anyone have a pic or a explorer with custom wheels and machine out hubs? thanlks
I've only seen one and It didn't look good IMO. You've got some nice rims and a HUGE hole with a HUGE hub sticking out. Get some chrome 4x4 rims if you want it to look good.
I gotta go with husky... ive seen one that had Cobra R's (i think) and man the hub seriously ruined the look. If thats what you want, then go for it but IMHO it doesnt look good at all.
