2 wheel drive into 4 wheel drive

I have a 94 explorer sport that has a 5 speed man. that is 2 wheel drive and i was wondering if a stock transfer case out of a ford explorer will bolt up or will i have to find a transmission from a 4 wheel drive explorer.

Nope, the x-fer case won't bolt up. You'll either have to find a 4x4 transmission, or convert (i think you can with the propper end housing and tail shaft, do a search on that). You'll probably also have to do some work to put a ttb in the front...if I were you though i'd put a solid axle in it and be done with it, the ttb isn't worth the effort.

get u a 4wd man tranny, tcase, front d35, d35 4x4 brackets, d shaft, skid plates...pretty much buy a f-ed up 4x4 ex and start parts swapin, thats what i did.
