2000 Eddie Bauer. Please help!

Hello everyone nice site!! I have a 2000 eddie bauer edition with a 5.0 HO engine 2 wheel drive with about 145k miles on it. Live in South FL. Heres my problem i hope someone can help me. When u romp on it everyonce in a while it will make a squalling noice BAD. Almost sounds like the belt is slipping and the check engine light will come on and the truck will hesitate. I got 2 codes P1309 and P340 the 1309 code says cam position curcuit fault so i replaced the cam sensor and the belt. I cleared the codes and i still have the same problem. If anyone can give me any info on this matter i would greatly appreciate it!! Thanks

Welcome.
While you did good replacing the sensor, the real culprit is the sensor drive unit.

Thanks for that. I was gonna pull it out and examine it so thats what my squalling noise is? Seems odd that it would do that. But thanks very much ill pull it
