2000 xlt awd
I have searched and still can not find an answer to my silly thoughts. I have a stock 2000 awd and would like to lift it slightly but, I want a nice ride out of the family vehicle. I was wondering, has anyone installed the skyjacker 4'' lift rear leaf springs to raise the rearend rather than just puting shackles on worn out springs? Also, can a coilover shock be installed on one with torsion bars and add a little height to the front end and MAYBE improve the ride quality by easing the tension of the torsion bars? Also, has anyone fabricated a spring over their existing shocks in some way? I just want to make my x look more like a 4x4 than a grocery runner.

if you put the 4" springs on it will be 4" from what it was stock so it could actually net 5" of lift from what it appears now(depending on how much you have sagged) with sagging springs.
