I'm trying to find out if anyone has info on putting a atlas2 tcase in my 2001 explorer with an automatic and 4.0. And also where I can get 4:88 gears for front and rear axles. Any help would be much appreciated

Welcome, great first post! I like the direction you’re going!
Have you tried contacting Atlas?

No I haven't. I'm new to this forum stuff. I want to do an atlas and upgrade axles ratios and go with long travel suspension but liw center gravity with like 35s or 37s. I'm trying to build my version of the new bronco IFS

I ONLY Paid 800 for it and it has low miles and runs great just need shocks and valve cover gaskets. Very clean I want to do 4:88 gears I hope with them and atlas I can cradle on 35s or 37s

The v6 auto will have a hard time 35 or 37” tires
You need to get some better transmission cooling going on then the stock setup

4.88 gears can be had anywhere, I like Yukon gear sets
Your front diff is a reverse rotation Dana 35 carrier with sla ifs (short long arm) found in 95-01 explorers, 01-04 sports and sport trac, and 98-11 ranger

The rear axle is 31 spline ford 8.8

Contact advance adapters and get a quote for a t case, they make them in your bolt pattern with a few different options

Thanks and yea I already put a extra trans cooler in it. I know they are a week point

curious on how the fit is with the atlas

Me to. Lol. I didnt do it yet trying to get as much info before I start it. And need to find where I can buy gears for front and rear axles. The rear 8.8 is easy to find but I am not sure what to buy for front.

pointless building front axle, sas a dana 44 out of bronco and do a long arm kit in front
