2001 Explorer-lower ball joint replacement.

hello,

i was recently informed that the lower ball joints on my explorer were worn, this came from the mechanic who was going to do a wheel allignment but couldnt because of this wear. today i am replacing the lower ball joints on my explorer. this is the first time i've attempted such work, so i would appreciate any suggestions. one question is, should i also replace the uppers???

i am using a "go-by" here on this forum, one with a lot of photos. its not exactly what i have, i think its an older model but hopefully its close enough for reference.

i should mention that it is a 2001, 2 wheel drive.

this is my first post, so i hope i got it right, any thoughts or advise is welcome...

took me about 3 hours not too bad really just get your hands on a good press i think harbor freight has a 4X4 kit for $59.00, I bought the $39.00 3 in 1 and it didnt have the correct sleeves.
