2001 Sport Trac high beam indicator on. No headlights.

Have a 2001 sport trac. When I turn the headlight switch on, the high beam indicator lights up but I have no headlights at all. Pulling high beam lever does nothing. All fuses are good, repalced the headlight bulbs and I DO NOT have daytime running lights. This is an intermittent problem. Having to drive with fog lights, just waiting to catch a kojacks eye. Any suggestions?

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread to the 2001-2005 Sport Trac section. You might have a problem with the multifunction switch or the wiring.

02 Sport Trac High Beams

Have same problem, Turned lights on to go to work when High Beam Lit up and got a really strong smell of buring wires. The high beams wouldn't turn off even with light switch off. I removed the fuse for the high beams. The smell continued but went away after a little while. Hoping someone can offer some help.

Quick question, have you tried raising the tilt wheel to the upmost position? do your directionals work?
