Hi, new to the forum and need some insight on a some info with my transmission. I have a 2002 Ford explorer xlt with the SOHC 4.0L engine transmission code R 55r5w and I bought a 2003 Ford explorer xlt with a 4.6L Sohc with a rebuilt transmission code V assuming it's the 55r5s transmission. I understand that the donor car is a V8 and I also understand that the gear ration on 2nd and 5th gear are slightly different. I just need to know if the transmission in the 03 will bolt up and work in my 02?
