2002 Eddie Bauer message center dim.

I have a 2002 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer V8 and I can only read the odometer and message center at night or barely on cloudy days. I found the message about the resistors needing to be resoldered, but I took my cluster out and it does not look like that kind. My cluster does not have the resistors that are pictured. Any other repairs for this concerns known besides replacing the cluster ?

I had the dealership send mine off for repair, it was 200 bucks and it came back all bright again. Its part of the instrument cluster

I was hoping that I wouldn't have to visit a dealer for that.
