Hey everyone,
I am a new member and first off want to apologize if I am not posting in the correct forum. But I am having a HUGE problem and NO ONE seems to be able to find out what the problem is. Hence, here I am; hoping I will get some help from you all.
So I recently purchased a 2002 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer V8 4.6. The problem that I am having is that most of the time the car will not start. I bought a new battery and checked the alternator and starter. They are all fine. There doesn't appear to be any electrical issues either. When I try to start it, all of the lights on the dash come on but it just wont crank. No click, no crank, no noise, nothing. It will randomly start whenever it feels like it. I am thinking it may be an alarm issue.
The funny thing is, the ONLY time the car is GUARANTEED to start is when I let the battery die out and jump start it. Only then will it start right away. I am thinking that maybe when the battery dies out it resets the alarm?
I don't know what to do at this point and everyone wants to charge me TONS of money to fix it although I feel like this problem may have a simple fix.
Thanks in advance for your help.
P.S. I do not have a clicker either (if that matters at all) and I already checked all the fuses and relays
