2002 sport tac wont start

Help, I have a 2002 explorer sport trac. Had the truck out this morning, was on empty and fill the tank. No problems starting. Bcked in the driveway an unloaded the back. Couple hours later it wont start. Sounds like it isn't getting gas. Any suggestions? I am hoping it isnt the fuel pump because it is an expense I just cant afford right now

When you turn the key to RUN, do you hear the pump prime for a second or two?

You should check the fuel pressure at the rail with a fuel pressure gauge if you suspect the pump.
