I own a 2003 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition and would like to know where the radiator drain plug (pet ****) is located. Do I have to remove any items to get at it. I would like to flush the system and add new coolant. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Its a plastic hex nut in plain view. You have to turn it a few turns to allow decent flow. You can also attach a short small diameter hose to the nozzle there.

Careful about chemical or water flushing, as the engine block has no drains. You won't ever know how much residual water is inside that can't be drained, so no way of telling what your final mixture is. If you get the coolant chemistry is bad, you'll have trouble months later. see this thread..

Thanks for the information. Mission accomplished with no problems.
