I have a 2003 Sports Trac with 135000 miles. The first time I try using the 4WD after not using it for a couple weeks the box behind the glove compartment clicks twice then pauses a couple seconds, then once more, however no 4WD light and the 4WD is not engaded. If I turn off 4WD then try again sometimes it works on the 4th, 5th, or more tries. When the 4WD works I get one click, a light and all works fine. Is this an issue of cleaning the traces on the selector motor?
