I have a 2004 Ford Explorer that will not start. Battery, starter, fuses, ignition, & relays have all been checked & are good. Tried jumping the starter and it turned over and still wouldn't start. Had the computer checked for fault codes & it came back error. What could be causing it not to start?

car needs 4 things. Spark, fuel, compression, and timing. Check for spark first. go from there.

Remember it has a chip in the key, PATS system. I forgot once.

I wonder if the key became un-programmed...
