2008 4.6 Exhaust Manifold--- milling

Has any one tried milling the manifolds flat? maybe they will just warp so far, then flattening the up will be better than a new manifold. Don't want to go thru this again in another 60,000 miles . Or is there a new, improved, better than OEM cast iron model

I did on my v6. I had a broken stud at the back like the V8. there was about 1/8 inch difference high low. Buddy is a machinist and he did mine for 40 bucks. Turned out good. I figured it probably warped as much as it was going to so I was better off using a pre warped one than spending 120 bucks on a new one.
