- 2008 Ford Explorer XLT
Hello all,
2008 Explorer with 4.0 and 130,000 miles. Vehicle does not want to start in park. I replaced the Neutral safety switch on the side of the tranmission and that did not seem to make a difference. Sometimes it starts sometimes it does not.
I can get it to start by moving the console shifter back with the ignition turned to start. Also having the same problem with it going into reverse. It will go in if I put forward pressure on the console shifter out of the reverse position.
I have spent hours/days on trying to get the adjustment right but can't seem to get it right. I am wondering if it has something to do now with the console shifter assembly.
Love the Explorer but this is driving me a little crazy! Anyone have any ideas on this?? Thanks
