I have a 2010 sport trac after a year battery went dead dealer checked out said it was battery the battery worked good for a while just about year later battery went dead dealer checked it out said battery was bad everything else checked out ok. here it is a year later and the same thing happened dealer cant find anything anyone have a idea what the hell is going on. ready to turn it in under the lemon law

Have you studied the battery itself. Does it look like it is a bit ballooned or anything. It could be an over charging situation. The stator in the voltage regulator could be sticking periodically and overcharging the battery.

I found that the battery in the truck when bought new was under sized. Given the battery problems I had for 5 years it makes sense. I think the dealer swapped it out for what ever reason.
