My question is about the best way to remove the engine from a 2011. The shop manual calls for doing it from the bottom and I did this on a '08 Taurus but in the end I think it would have been easier to take it out the top. I know I have to remove the hood and make sure I have overhead clearance but this seems easier than dealing with the suspension sub assembly - it was a pia on the Taurus. Has anyone done it either way?
btw - the reason for the engine swap is that the water pump failed and got coolant into the oil, resulting in a sludged mess.
