2011 KC Explorer meet

Hey guys, I know I been away from the forums for a while. Been pretty busy. Just took The Golden Beast on a 1,500+ mile road trip to Sandusky, Ohio and back. Drove beautifully. Anyways, It's coming up on the tail end of summer which means things are gonna be cooling down here soon. That means, great weather for meetups and Explorer/Mounty cruising. We need to setup a place in town to meet, eat, and hit the streets cruising. Let me know of any suggestions on a time and place. I was thinking towards the end of September into early October. Could go to a resturaunt and catch a Chiefs game as well.

BBQ sounds good, maybe do it on a day when we could go to KCIR, have an earlish dinner and then hit the track for a couple of hours.

There is a BBQ place right at I-70 & Noland Road called Bandana's. It would only be 3-4 miles from KCIR.

It's pretty good. The meat is cubed instead of sliced and served dry. There are 4 sauces on the table amd you can ask for the hot which the wife & I always do.

I'm out of state for at least another week. Have to see how it goes next week. I'll be on my way back from Wyoming/Colorado and the earliest I could make something would be a week from tomorrow and that would be a maybe.

All 1993 & up Cougars are XR7's : be it V6 or V8. But yes I have the 4.6

I'm a BBQ connoisseur . Any BBQ place hat has steak and grilled chicken on the menu is not a BBQ place let alone it tasting like crap

I like the idea of meeting up for BBQ, cruise around a little and then hit the track. Not sure if I'd run, but I wouldn't mind taking some pictures and videos.

Yes I really do want to see everyone again and some new faces. I try to make it a habit ever since my first visit to Jon's to have some kinda meet whether small or big once a year at the very least. I may try bring both The Explorer and Mustang down and have my friend drive the stang because I always told Jon that he could ride in it sometime . I'm liking October a little bit more. It'll give me time to get this ticket payed off I got last week . lol But BBQ and Explorer/mounty's/ whatever you wanna bring sounds like ONE HECK of a time. Weather should be NICE as well. If we do KCIR that means this would have to be during the week or would weekends workout better for the majority? We should go ahead and atleast figure that part out.

Wanted to bump this and see if anyone has given it more thought.

My days look like this-

M-F: After 6pm works(unless I don't have something to do)
Weekends: Anytime

I actually work on weekends, but I should be finished(hopefully!!!) by the end of this month. If I'm not done, then it depends on what work I may be needed for since I'm Mr. Know-it-all
