...I've got you beat on a couple items including rpm's, %CO2, %O2, but what really interest me is the Max. and AVE. measurements...the allowables for me are a little higher and your post let me see my NOX at 15mph could improve..

..I'm pretty sure having Cali legal headers, a cam, no EGR, and swapping my air filter just before the test has something to do with that..

Wow that is one clean burning motor! Hope I can just get passed the calif. test this year. Every time so far I just make it and always because of the NOx being just under the max by a few ppm. Last time it was at 758ppm. I do have a 49 state truck with no EGR on it and I have done some work on it from the last test like changed out all the intake gaskets and now for the first time ever in my owning it ,it no longer burns a Qt of oil every 2,500 miles. I have owned it from about 63,000 miles and it has over 220,000 now. have to smog it here by April so will find out soon how it is doing but will do all the normal things before hand like change oil air filter run a tank or two of cleaner threw it stuff like that but if it fails most likely will have to do a cat once more as last one was about ten years ago and we went from the two cats to one now that set up is illegal for Calif as the single is no longer a ca CARB approved set up. Fact is they gave me a heck of a time two years ago smoging it because of that and that it did not have any CARB imprint on it. Yet all the work was done right here in Calif. back in about 2002 but I can not find my recites for that work any were so its a big time fight any more now. O well.

Hmmm.... mine loses a qt around 2-2500miles, I bet this is my problem.

On another note...

I refuse to live in such a strict state. I'm not against safety inspections nor am I against emissions inspections. I just don't agree with the way CA does the emissions inspections. It's just too doggone strict for me.

Personally I think all states should do some type of safety inspection to check for brakes, suspension, lights, excessive body damage and glass for excessive cracks. I have seen way too many cars/ trucks on the road that shouldn't be, most of which had the above mentioned damage.
