2017 Explorer..Sync "indexing"

2017 Explorer FWD
We bought our explorer used in March. I was able to connect to sync effortlessly with my Samsung Galaxy S8. However for the last 4 days, when i plug in my USB cord it says "indexing" I can make calls & play text messages, but I cannot play spotify or my podcasts. here is what I have tried in no specific order..

1. youtube
2. reset Sync--(I've done this twice now)
3. disconnected my phone and added my phone again.
4. asked Sync nicely to stop being extra
5. turned off/on my blue tooth.

what else can i try?

Just wanted to say Welcome to the Forum Dawn. :wave:
I don't know if a Master Reset would help or not. Best to wait for someone more knowledgeable with this to jump in.
