BUT, this morning my green window sticker is available showing 7/27.

Sorry if this has been posted already but I couldn't find it using the search: does the green color of the window sticker have a meaning? Mine is green as well and it's scheduled to be built 7/27. Does it turn blue once assembly is complete?

I think special order stickers are green...... Dealer inventory is blue..... But that's an un educated guess.........

Here's a trick to find out about your order if you have a vin..... Go to the ford web site and build a vehicle..... A window will pop up asking if you would like to chat.... Say yes. Give the person on the other end your vin number and ask if they would check on your order. They will be glad to do this for you..... I did it this morning.... Found out that my vehicle will be finished and out the plant door today....... Delivered to the dealer estimate on August 4th..... Bartender drinks on the house........

I was a little surprised to read that it was 'green' in a post above. I've never seen that before. The ones I pulled up for both my vehicles were blue and the Explorer was one that I ordered through the dealer. Not sure what you mean by "Special Order" . There are dealer orders for inventory and then are dealer orders for customers.

Edit: clicked chat and got it. She says my ETA is 8/21 which is nearly 30 days from my build date. Bartender.....

Dfred, I used your tip with the chat. The chat rep told me my Explorer has been delivered. The dealer is still telling me the 7th!

Thanks for that info Don. I've not seen that notation nor any colour except blue. There was a Mustang (not Shelby) in the showroom the last time I was at the dealership and the 'Sticker' was blue. That green sure would have caught my eye.

Well sitting in this bar.... Playing with the little umbrella in my glass thinking that my X will be rolling down the assembly line in the morning, and sometime Tuesday it will pop out the backdoor to a waiting train car hopefully....... And ford is still saying it will arrive at my dealer August 1st...... Bartender another drink.... And some of those goldfish crackers........

I doubt it will "pop out the back door to a waiting train car". I've seen a picture of the loading area on Google Earth and the vehicles are transferred from the factory to a very large parking area near the rail yards to await loading and shipping. They could be there for a while depending on the availability of rail cars. It happened a few years ago that there was a shortage and vehicles sat there for a few weeks.

I use the chat feature on the ford build a vehicle..... It will get results in 5 mins or less once you get the chat going........
