2017 ordering

Finally! The ford.ca website now has the 2017 Explorer available for 'Build & Price'. Unhappy that the current lease rate is 4.99% but that should drop, hopefully, by the time I'm ready to order in April. On June 1st, the 2016 rate was 1.99% on a 2016.

Unfortunately for those who are buying early, I'm not betting on one cent of incentive. But I would almost guarantee the incentives will start mid August...about two to three weeks after I take possession. Haha.

They still have Employee Pricing and the Costco rebate in force which if applied to a 2017 Platinum comes to about $6500.

Am I reading the Canadian website correctly where it states if you order a 17 MY with bench 60/40 split second row it's HEATED but if you order Captain chairs with center console they are not HEATED? That seems odd to me but I will dump the Captain Chairs if this is correct. Anyone else see this or has a 17 already that can confirm?

I read that about the bench seat being heated but I didn't really pay attention to the buckets since I wasn't looking at getting them. I'll have to check that out again.
Heated 2nd row bucket seats are an option.

I ordered my 2017 Sport on 5/25 and received a VIN immediately. I still don't get a match on the COTUS website. I'm assuming I'll see a window sticker shortly-I hope!

The 'Sticker' usually is available 3-5 days before the 'build'.

I've been checking the cotus websites as well for our vin number and can't get a result. Based on posts I've seen on other car forums, cotus doesn't work for most.

I just keep checking to see whether our window sticker is available, then figure it's a week or less till build like Peter said.

I know with the Canadian builds they bundle more basic content then the US builds, we get less choice but more options in the base Sport.

When you choose that 400A package it's pretty much loaded all you add is Moonroof, Collision Warning with Braking, Adaptive Cruise, and any minor accessories.

The Limited and Platinum were the only previous models that offered heated 2nd row.

Goto cotus..... It will work when it gets 3 to 5 days from your build date..... Usually....

How did you get the build date?? I have a VIN but no sticker which I assume will pop up when I'm 3-5 days of build.

Build date usually comes from your dealer.....
