2020 Explorer ST will not start

Thank you for responding! Glad to hear you found a permanent fix. The only way we could get it started last night was to try a trick suggested on here; removing the negative battery cable, letting it sit for a few minutes, hooking it back up and starting it normally after two attempts. Jumping it and trying to start it remotely didn’t work. We bought ours used 4 months ago and these issues started a month ago, so I don’t think we really have anything to stand on as far as a buy back. It’s also out of warranty but luckily we paid for an extended warranty, now it’s just finding a solution. Have to wait two weeks to get it back in, here’s hoping they figure it out!
Good luck with the fix. To note, they replaced every module first with no results. I actually let the service manager take to car home so he could actually experience the issue. Removing the engine to replace the harness was the last resort that worked.

Same issues with a 2020 Explorer Platinum. We have been left stranded multiple times and reading these threads is exactly why I have not taken it to the dealer just yet. Extremely frustrating!

Hello, does your problem continue?

Max.

My Explorer won't turn on intermittently. The fault occurs approximately every 2 days. The dashboard lights come on, the power button flashes. I have replaced the battery and performed BMS adjustments, but no codes are present.

Is the engine turning over but not starting? If not, do you hear anything at all? By "power button" flashing do mean the ignition button?
If you are still under warranty, have you taken it in to have the dealer check it out?

Peter
