According to someone on the FORScan forum:

2020 Ford Explorer ST *Double Honk* - FORScan forum

Whether he is referring to using the codes from his F-150, or the previous Explorer, I guess you'd have to ask. But there's at least one report of it working.

oh interesting! seems to suggest the 2016 F150 fake engine noise code works on the 2020 Explorer. will have to look that up.

I can confirm the f150 method does shut off the engine noise. I just did it and took it for a drive.

First line in ACM, 6th digit is a 4 and needs to be changed to a 0 (zero).

Are we sure of that not disabling anything else? See the attachment below. Looks like that kills the tweeters and USB if it truly is the same as the F-150.

(The screenshot is straight out of here)

Tweeters and center speaker are functioning.

I'm honestly not sure which USB device they are referring to, but does your USB interface to the audio system seem to work? Just want to clarify before going out and doing the same thing.

The USB port in the center cubby still has power and charges my phone when plugged in.

9 would be the better choice than 0

Hi, does anyone know for sure if the Aviator has this faked engine noise present. If it does, will 727-01-01 Option 9 turn it off?

Advice please.

Thanks! m

If it does, I'm not aware of it, so I'll go with NO.

So the info for disabling the double honk on exit while running is:

BCM / 726-63-02 / XXX0 XXXX XXYY / Disable Double Honk on Exit

I also haven't seen any updates on the spreadsheet someone else setup for maintaining a list of codes, so I'm starting one for my own personal reference. If it helps anyone, that's a bonus.

http://www.trona-tech.net/forscan-codes-for-2020-ford-explorer/

Also, as far as the fake engine noise, my flag was already set as a 0, where the above poster indicated it was a 4. I am unsure if the XLT w/ 2.3L has the fake engine noise. If it does not, that may be a reference point that his value is correct (and different from the F-150 scheme).

I may be wrong but I thought the ST was the only vehicle that did it.

And thank you for the doubler horn honk. I'm going to change it tonight and try it out.

Only the ST has that feature.

Awesome. I guess that clears that one up, and validates it all in one fell swoop.

Although I have to admit, I'm a little confused as well. I can't edit the ACM in my vehicle. It simply isn't one of the listed modules. Is there a trick to get it to show up? I'm on the latest release. (I verified the flag based on the complete as-built data from Ford, not by loading the module and looking).

I can't take credit for the double horn honk - it's in the FORScan basic menu now. I just looked to see what it changed so that people can use the as-built side to make changes if they want to.

Another edit: Start/Stop is listed as an option now in the APIM. I'm not sure if this flag will fully disable it or not, and I'm really new to the FORScan game, so I don't want to brick my stuff and have a problem. If there's someone braver out there, update to the latest release, and it will be in the basic APIM module screen to play with.

I mentioned this in post 3. I saw the enabled and changed it to disabled but it still reverts back. In order to fix it permanently, we need the line code and change the coding like you did the double letter horn honk.

Ah. Didn’t gather that was the same screen. I get it now. That’s unfortunate.

So I looked for the 726-JF-G2 and could not find it, everything was 726 but the JF were only numbers.. there were no letters anywhere in the BCM for the middle section so I am lost.

I did go to the drop down menu and changed it to disable and it did work. I am curious if it will revert back.

Going back on my memory, the drop down for the start/stop showed it as disabled and when disabled, the A with the cross through it shows up on the dash (I did it again tonight) but even with it showing on the dash as disabled, it still did the start/stop.

Maybe this newest version fixed it.. I disabled it again and did 3 full restarts and it shows disabled on the dash. Wont know till tomorrow if it actually still shuts off or not.

Sorry, it is at 726-63-02. My bad. I trusted the As-Built decoder, and it messed up the location somehow.

I went ahead and tripped the Start/Stop and will see tomorrow if it persists as well. This is at:

7D0-01-02 / XX0X XXXX XXYY / Disable Start Stop (Maybe?)
7D0-01-02 / XX2X XXXX XXYY / Stock Start Stop Setting for my Explorer

My As built is
7D0-01-02 026B 0C04 8AE1

which doesn't align with the third location being consistent with yours? are you sure of the location on this one?
