285 75 16 and 33's

I am currently running 285 75 16s and have no spares heh... Having trouble finding a good pair of spares in this size on craigs. So, would it be a big deal if i used 33's as spares. current tires come out to 32.8 so that is .2 of a inch difference. I do drive the truck on the highway and such and am running a semi-lock in the rear but will be locking it soon... Will that small of a difference be noticeable? I assume not since it is like having 1 new tire and 1 lower tread tire. Just to be safe i post here. thanks

A 33 would be better than nothing but I wouldn't put it on a locked axle with a 285/75/16 on the other side. The tires are slightly different in height so the spider gears would turn while going strait.

Worst case you have to have 2 jacks to swap a front tire to the back and run the spare up front.

depends on what '33' you get. bfg a/t's measure 32.7. other tires measure bigger, just depends on what tire it is.

any 33ish would be better than the 31" I have hiding to use just in case as a dough-nut.
