2DR vs 4DR rear springs

Hi everyone! I'm a newbie to this forum. I've been patiently waiting to find a donor tranny for my 96 2dr. While removing the tow hitch receiver from my 4dr donor, I noticed a big difference the the ride system and springs on the 4dr compared to the single leaf spring and a stack of plates on the 2dr. Anyone have experience swapping the leaf springs to achieve lift? I guess I should of done a little reading first. I'm a Navy Vet (EN2), live in Cheney Wa. and enjoy turning wrenches. Looks like I landed on a good place for lots of information!

lots of guys have swapped the mono leaf for the 4 door leaf. it helps with the rear sag these have. they also improve the ride a great deal as well. as for lift, that will also depend on how good the springs are to start with. they wont go much higher then stock however. you would want to get different shackles or do a spring over axle (soa) for that
