I hate you :p Our dealer is having a hard time trying to find an 02' Mineral Grey Mounty w/ the 4.6 V8 and luxury package. Damnit:mad: Mineral Grey is an awsome color on Mustangs and Explorers/Mountys.

My mom called them again today and their going to see whats at the Dealer auctions, hopefully:(

The 4.6 V8 hauls and sounds awsome.:D

As for wheels, right now I'm looking at 18" KMC Clockers or maybe 20" depends on how much they weigh. Looking at some Billet Specialties and Boyd Coddington rims, and I found an sick set of Centerlines that are like a mix between a Boyd Coddington rim and a BBS rim. I'm not into the bling bling thing so.......

I suggest looking at what SaleenEXP said.

Also, do you have any pics of your truck? I plan on getting a newer model Explorer in Mineral Grey if I can still get it with a graphite interior.

Also, their expensive but..., Weld rims kick ass. I'm also looking at the Weld Evo (forged series) rims like the Axis and Espada series, they are gorgeous.

Congrats on your new car! I have an '02 and love it so far. You picked a very nice color too. I ended up with black which is nice except for it is hard to keep clean. As far as wheels, I just went with the factory Chrome upgrade which I know isn't what you are looking for but it sure looks better than the default ones.

hi all,

thanks for the compliments, yes i'm trying to get some new wheels, i've got the sport package with it, so i got the 17" wheels, but its not the same as 20's hehe.. i like the look of a deep dish on SUV's, and i'd like to find some for mine

the c?lor... thats kind've a tough topic for me at this point, it looks "gray" now to me, since i'm used to it, its not quite like a harley f150 with the same color, mine just looks very drab and plain,,?it lost its appeal, makes me wish i had gotten white or silver now :-/... i guess i dont have a choice it looked cool at the time, and i'm okay with it now, but its hard finding wheels to look good with the color, and its a color that looks pretty drab when dirty :-/ hehe

thanks again

check out my site, we have a 2002 mineral gray x w/the 4.6! :D aren't u guys jealous? i'm gonna clean it up and take a couple pics.

That makes me happy I got black. Thanks, I'm past the wishing I had Mineral Gray part now :)

I agree on the Mineral Grey looking just ok on the Explorers shape, the 02's seem to look best in Black or that nice Estate Green color which one of my friends has.

The 02' Mountaineers on the other hand look awsome/smooth in Mineral Grey or Silver, but IMO only look ok in black.

God, I wish that damn truck was here by now:( The 4.6 will be worth the wait:)

I washed it today, and I've renewed the love for the color hehe,, i guess it just needs to be clean t obe appreciated, looks so nice with a sunset,.. i hope to take pictures soon, but what is there to see? its a stock suv hehe..

I'm going to go try on some shoes for it this weekend, might pick out a pair for it :)...

i never understood why they called it gray, it looks more like a brown, or maybe its just me, i don't know!

To me the Mineral Grey looks a lot browner than I would consider a grey. Dark Shadow Grey that the Escapes, F-series, etc. have are truely grey. I love the Mineral Grey color but haven't seen it dirty. I don't think for me whenever I get one will ever lose its appeal. I just love the color too damn much.

I know, I love Mineral Grey and thats why it's taking so long to get my truck. It's becomming impossible for us or our dealership to find an 02' Mounty in Mineral Grey with the luxury package and 4.6 V8. Sucks....

Mineral Grey looks sweet also on Mustangs and Cobras.
