With just the coil lift how big of a tire could i tuck under there, 31's?

I'm running 265/75/16's (32's), NO lift. Ben's spacers have been ordered and will be installed between Christmas and New Years. Stock, 32 is it, with 3" of lift, def 32's, and there is discussion that 33's may go. As soon as my spacers are on I'm test fitting 33's, unless someone beats me to it and posts the results.

Yeah, 33's MAY fit, but I'm not willing to tell anyone that until I've got it verified.
32's are safe though.

Ive got some brand new bfg 33x12.5 mud terrains sitting in my garage leftover from one of the race trucks that got sold.

Thanks for the advice.

So 32's fit STOCK???

Nice... Do they rub that badly??

At full lock, and I mean you can't turn the wheel any further, I get a bit of rubbing on the inside plastic fender well. I've read that with some zip ties I can fix that.

Ben and I have discussed this and as I mentioned, I will do a test fit for him, but with all the room I have at stock height with 32's, I can't see 33's NOT fitting with a 3" lift. I'll keep everyone posted.

And if anyone reading this has done a 3" lift on a 3rd Gen and have tried or are running 33's, please let us know the results.

I'll hold ya to it!!! ;)

i beat you all haha
33"s on my mounty with just a 3" body lift.

you'll have to trim back a little behind the front wheels and ziptie the inner wheel well back ..not really too major..
ik that sounds confusing though its hard to describe
IMG_0028-1.jpg

once that was trimmed off (all it was was fiberglass that stuck out from where the front quarter panels mount to the bottom of the body..didnt structurally hurt anything not to mention it was east to trim bc it was just fiberglass) i just ziptied the wheel well back and all was good

all i have is a slight rub on the passenger tire on a full lock right turn..been over somewhat bumpy terrain and hopped a few curbs with the wheel turned and no rub (unless full lock right turn like i said before)

to me it was def worth the 1/4 - 1/2" i shaved though

doubt yours are gonna fit just due to their width ..we're ( 3rd gens with 33"s) are running 285/75's which are 33 inches high but only 11.5 inches wide ( if i recall correctly) and i honestly cant see another inch of width fitting but i also fall in the only 3" lift club

12.5 with stock rims no way imo, but however pick up some 1.5 wheel spacers on ebay for 120 bucks or get new rims;)

GUITARFRK741 YOU HAVE THE BEST LOOKIN MOUNTY IVE EVER SEEN MAN

You kick ass bro.

You too Ben.

:salute:

and as soon as i can make up my mind on how big of spacers to go with i should be placing an order sometime in the near future :D

2.5" front, 2" rear. :D:thumbsup:

I get a little rubbing with my 265s and 2" spacers. It is minor so I have not bothered to trim or wire tie anything to fix it yet. I am pretty sure 285s would not fit mine, I only went with 2" of lift though. I am very happy with how mine turned out though. I would probably not do anything different than I have done. It looks a lot better but is still very practical.

guitar frk do you have wheel spacers or are the mounty wheels a different offset they seem to stick out alittle more then my explorer rims do.

1.5" spacers
..they make it look 10x more aggressive in my opinion
