I did a search for this but none said if it would or not on a 4x4, I pull a 25ft camper, and a gear swap is not in the budget for now, and I would like to keep the wider tire. At the moment I have 32x11.50x15 BFGs on factory tear drops with no lift, just some trimming of front bumper. I like the look of a wide tire also. So I was wondering if anybody has made them work, thanks

You'll need at least 3" of lift, 15x10 rims with little backspacing, and some luck.

i was planning on putting 31x12.5 bfg's with 15x10 wheels on mine .. i just put on a 2" lift and it looks like there wont be a whole lot of room.. i will probably end up going with a 2 or 3 " body lift. But i dont have the tires or wheels yet so i wont know for sure.

thanks guys, I was hoping someone here had made it work. Getting tire stores around here to try something is like pulling teeth. thanks again!:D

i got a 2" lift and mounted my wheels and measured to see how my BFG's would fit. .. I will need to trim a sizeable amount to make them fit when turning. The only place they will rub is on the rear of the front fenderwell ..mostly in the bottom corner. However i do have a 15x10 wheel with 3.75 offset.

theres a guy here that runs that...thorn birds i think. personally i do not like it but do what you like.

Yeah, I run 31x12.5 Thornbirds with 15x10 rims with 3.75" backspacing. I did a 3" lift and they still rubbed a little. I removed the lower kick panel that runs along under the doors. And I trimmed about an inch off the front bumper spoiler. Without the 3" lift I would never have gotten those tires to fit without mucho, mucho sheetmetal and plastic hacking. Which is out of the question.

96xplorer40h I see that you have a suspension lift. I wonder if a body lift would work? Also what is your backspace on your wheels? I would have guessed that with my 32s fitting with no rubbing(albeit tight) that with the right back space I might be able to stuff them with a tt and aal.Because i got lucky that they fit with only a little bumper trim and nothing else(so far) Thanks :D

There is your answer, I figured i'd save him the work of posting the exact same post again. From what i've seen you will need at LEAST a 3" total lift to fit them on 10" wheels and 3.75" backspacing. And you still may have to trim a little bit. I would have to trim alot with my 2". I would go with a 3" body lift. Since you already trimmed a little bit, you might get away with just be BL.
