32x11.5R15 Bridgestone Dueler AT

Im getting a TT and the AAL + shackles, and i know that i can fit 31s (have them on stock, but they are bald). Should i go up to 32x11.5s or just get new 31s. A buddy of mine will sell me an almost new set of 32x11.5 Dueler ATs for very cheap. Should i take the deal? Also, i have 3.55 open gears (4x4 of course) and i am wondering will the 32s kill my gas milage? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

can't say much about tire fitment on your generation. check the "Tire Fitment guide" or do a search for it, you will find it. This topic is discussed like once a day.

But as for gears. 3.55 gears behind what engine? 5.0? your ok... 4.0 OHV? definatly want to think about some kind of gearing. i ran 32"s on 3.27 gears and ill say it KILLED my gas milage. im getting much better milage now that i've regeared. It also imploded my tranny (it did have 160k on it) running 32"s on high gearing.

i did search, but my stipulations were never discussed. Also, yes its behind the 4.0 OHV. i guess i should just stay with 31s and go up to 33s when i BL and i can regear at the same time.

regear first, that way you can have some fun with 31"s and lower gears.

when those 31"s are on the way out there will be a lot of burning rubber in charlotte.

I don't think 32s are enough to absolutely NEED gears.

jut bought duelers H T's for my 2002 hopiung to get them installed soon as my explorer is starting to smell like a tire shop...

That tire size should fit fine (with you being one that could fit 31s stock), and if you were okay with 3.55s and 31s, you will probably be okay with 3.55s and 32s, there isn't much difference there.
