Ok so I'm thinking about investing in a K&N 57 Series Performance intake Kit, as they claim an extra 10HP gain from the added airflow.
Now my problem is, I took a look at the installation instructions online first, and it calls for the removal of the "bottles" during install, and uses the factory mounting holes from the Washer Fluid bottle for the heat sheild... so in the final stage only the engine coolant bottle is re-installed and the end of the air intake with the filter rests where the Washer Fluid res used to be.
Now I love the idea of an extra 10HP, but what the hell are we supposed to do when washer fluid is needed?
EDIT:
Never mind, I'm a dumb ass... I wasn't thinking straight. You remove the old air filter box completely during installion, and the new K&N filter sits in the space the old air box used to occupy!
