Noticed today, water leaking (pouring) from passenger side of engine. Does not seem to be coming from any hoses. When I pour water into the radiator, the water comes pouring out on the right side of engine. Could this be a freeze plug. or something more serious?

Most likely a freeze plug.

Thanks for the reply. Where are the plugs located?

The freeze plugs are located on the side of the engine block. There are 3 on each side (or bank), all in a horizontal row. They are about 1 1/2" in diameter. You can best see them when looking up at the motor from underneath. If you have a leaker, and you can get a good line of sight to it, it will be pretty easy to identify. ie. rusted, stained with antifreeze, maybe a hole visible or even the plug actually popped out of position a bit.

PS.....changing freeze plugs on the passenger side of these trucks is a fair task depending on access. If you don't have a hoist and/or much patience, it may be best done at a garage.

Thanks, if its not hard to do, must not be worth doing; evidently.

Found the loose freeze plug, replaced it and seems to be OK.
Thanks for the advice .
